Vintage Inspired Bridal Shoot
Here is an AMAZING bridal shoot sent to us by Jenny from Captured By Jenny. Have a look at what Jenny and Helen (from Modern Events) had to say:
Jenny: We wanted this shoot to provide a beautiful image of vintage and elegance. The pieces we used were either borrowed items or items we picked up at goodwill and local garage sales. I loved the deep purple and blue color scheme. And I loved how everything was just placed in the garden… almost like it had been sitting there for decades. We hope that this shoot shows that you can find treasures on your own too, and you don’t have to spend a bunch of money to have those unique details! As a photographer, I love those kinds of details. They are so unique and special. So, go explore your local thrift shop or friend’s garage and retrieve items for your own vintage inspired wedding.
Helen: I loved that this shoot took place in a butterfly garden with beautiful wild flowers. It really allowed this theme to come to life. We often get requests for vintage inspired themes. It is rapidly becoming a huge influence in the wedding industry. Mainly because it is so versatile. For this shoot we used a vintage vanity set, an oversized chair, a rusted iron bike, several cameras, a radio, and an old type writer. We also had a lattice with vintage framed photos from family weddings. The love birds offered a continued visual anchor. From the stationary to the cake to random décor, we made sure that the love birds were always a part of the design. The beautiful flowers also offered that vintage flare. We tried to mix colors that were bright yet subdued. I hope this inspires you to put a vintage touch to your next event.
Jewelry was custom made: This vintage inspired set is made from white and purple freshwater pearls accented with dark amethyst stones. The findings are sterling silver. I love all things vintage, so this was one of my favorite challenges to create. The bracelet is a ball of freshwater pearls strung onto a cream and dark purple ribbon and closed with a silver toggle.
