Classic and Simple

Want to keep it clean and simple for the big day? A lighter, sweeter subtle palette will do just that. These colors are beautiful and will tie your whole look together without being too fussy. I especially love Sweet Heart by OPI. Its the perfect balance of taupe and subtle pink. Also, Essie’s wedding collection has every subtle yet beautiful shade you could ask for.

Flirty Pastels

While simple is always safe, why not try something with a little more life? Maybe you have incorporated bright splashes of color into your overall scheme or have a a vivid bouquet of flowers. Either way, try these flirty pastels as a way to jazz up your nails. Haute as Hello or Lapis of Luxury, both by Essie, are perfect shades.

 

 

Bolder Shades

Want to try something a little deeper?  Choosing a darker shade will bring contrast with your white dress but still remain subtle. These shades are especially good for fall and winter weddings. And while gray may seem like a dreary choice, it acts as a dark neutral and is beautifully paired with a black and white wedding scheme. I’m a fan of Carolyn’s Handball Courts Grey. Going for red? Chanel’s Le Vernis Nail Colour in Dragon is the perfect shade of red to pop, but deep enough to be daring.

For some, accessorizing means draping yourself in diamonds complements of Harry Winston. For others, it means delicate vintage pieces to refine the look. But for those who cannot afford to be bejeweled by priceless gems or classic vintage pieces, do not fret. Put your classic pearls aside, because I’ve found some affordable statement-making accessories to adorn you on the Big Day.

Whether your necklace is old, borrowed, new or blue, choosing a necklace is a big decision. With an endless selection of modest, sparkly, classic and vintage necklaces, be sure to pick one that adds that certain “je ne sais quoi” to complete your look for the Big Day.

When it comes to wedding photography, you’ll have many pictures of your bouquet, your ring, and holding hands with your new groom, and as such, your bracelet will surely be noticed. Therefore, it’s important to select a bracelet or even a watch that complements your ensemble.

Earrings

You should never underestimate the importance of earrings, especially when it comes to your wedding. Earrings are the proverbial “icing on the cake.” Simple studs can polish off a classic look while a pair of chandelier earrings adds a dramatic effect. Pins

Pins can be used as accents pieces to add a little glamor or infuse a pop of color to your hairstyle. You can just use hairpins to affix the brooch into your hair to make that simple up-do simply chic.

1. Plan Ahead

With all the planning that goes into a wedding, some details may end up taking a backseat to others. Don’t let your makeup be one of them. Whether you are planning on having a makeup artist or doing it yourself, take a few moments to test out your makeup plans. This will give you a chance to work out any kinks that you may encounter, whether it be colors to avoid or waterproof mascara that ends up being not so waterproof.

2. Don’t Push the Envelope

As much as your wedding is your special day, it isn’t the time to experiment with new looks. But that doesn’t mean you can’t look beautiful. Makeup should enhance your beauty, not take away from it.

Planning ahead is the first step, but staying committed to one look is the next. Don’t decide last minute to get overly glammed up or use loose glitter as eyeshadow to add a little bling. You know what colors and styles work best for you.

3. Look Natural

Don’t forget that you should want to look like YOU on your wedding day.  With that being said, you don’t want to be head to toe in thick foundation, eyeshadow, lipstick, and blush. Keep it fresh and simple. Use techniques to enhance your features, making you look like your best self.

Remember, the day will be long, including your ceremony, reception, dinner, dancing, etc., so keeping a fresh face will be much easier with low key makeup. And the last thing you need to be worried about is how you look!

STEP ONE:

The first step to getting in shape is to set realistic goals. Without this, you won’t get very far in your fitness pursuits. You need to be very honest with yourself and realize what you are actually capable of accomplishing. You may want to lose 30 lbs. in one month or go from a size 8 to a size 0 by Friday, but the chances of these actually happening in a healthy manner are slim-to-none (no pun intended). Set realistic goals and write them down; this way you can stay properly motivated while shaping up. It would even be beneficial to set weekly goals and display them on your refrigerator or bedroom mirror. Having a constant reminder of what your goals are will help keep you on track.
