The World’s Most Expensive Wedding Dress

By posted January 6, 2010, 9:54 am | Comments: 6

The typical American bride will spend around $1,000 on her wedding gown. Imagine spending 12,000 times that on a single dress. That is the cost of this fabulous diamond laced beauty. At $12 million you get yourself 150 carats worth of stunning diamonds.

Jeweler Martin Katz and dressmaker Renee Strauss teamed up to design this World record-breaking masterpiece. For your $12 million it includes a rhinestone studded veil as well so fret not.

The dress has yet to sell and is currently on display at the Lladro Flagship Store, 408 North Rodeo Drive, in Beverly Hills. It originally debuted in March of 2008 so it’s getting close to being on the market for a year now. I’ll bet that in these tough times you might be able to talk them down to a paltry $10,000,000.

If your fiancé is giving you a hard time about the money you are spending on your perfect, once-in-a-lifetime, wedding dress just remind him that it’s much less than this one, which could also get you Mary J. Blige’s 18,250-square-foot mansion in Saddle River, N.J.
