Yes, you read the title correct. This is one of those stories that makes you laugh instantly, but then cover your mouth and say “Oh NO!”

Travis Pittman is a web producer for Fox 5 News, and while proposing to his girlfriend on the Des Moines Marina Pier, he accidently dropped the engagement ring into the Puget Sound! On Sunday morning, Pittman was quoted to say:

“I’m prepared for the fact it may not get found.”

Poor guy, atleast she didn’t say no right? Have fun watching the news report below. Oh yea, and hey, if you’d like to see some pretty fancy pictures of some rings that haven’t been dropped in any Puget Sounds, be sure to see our gallery of engagement rings.

Possibly The Most Epic Marriage Proposal Ever

By posted May 25, 2010, 8:59 am | Comments: 0

Steve and Tracey have known each other for 14 years and he wanted to make his proposal as memorable as possible. This is possibly one of the most thought out, unique and cleaver proposals I’ve ever seen. What he did was rent out an entire movie theater (filled with family and friends of course), showed up a few minutes late (so she wouldn’t recognize anyone) and had them play this below video after a few other trailers had been played.

He took nine months to make the entire thing, including scripting, finding equipment, filming and then finally planning the actual proposal. He has a full explanation of it as well as the reasons for all the flashbacks on his YouTube page.

What I had done was make an entire movie trailer that had actors portraying both Tracey and I at different times in our lives, both present day and in the future. Tracey was just perplexed as to how many different things had similarities to our relationship, she kept nudging me throughout the trailer. Tracey had no idea this was a marriage proposal until the last three seconds of the trailer.

SHE SAID YES!!

How Chick-fil-a Brought One Couple Together

By posted January 9, 2010, 9:04 am | Comments: 0

Well not quite, but husband and wife Steven Hammond and Maggie Smyth met due to fast food chain Chick-fil-A. They both were called upon to work the “Aerial Assault Team” at last year’s Chick-fil-A Bowl held New Year’s Eve at the Georgia dome with LSU taking on Georgia Tech. Their duties included launching miniature plush Chick-fil-A cows into the crowd.

Smyth is currently an employee of the restaurant and volunteered to help with the game’s festivities. Hammond on the other-hand is a former employee and was asked last minute to come in and help with the massive effort (he was in the parking lot tailgating with some friends).
